The Flash headliner Ezra Miller has been arrested for a second time in Hawaii, according to media reports.
Miller was arrested early Tuesday morning on a complaint of second-degree assault following an incident at a home in Pahoa, according to Hawaii Island Police Department.
According to KITV Island Television, “Big Island police officers were called out to a reported assault at the home in the Leilani Estates subdivision in lower Puna just after 1 a.m. According to the report, Miller allegedly got angry after being asked to leave the home and threw a chair, striking a 26-year-old woman in the head causing a half-inch cut. The woman refused treatment for the injury.”
Exactly three weeks ago, Miller was arrested by law enforcement after an incident at a karaoke bar in Hawaii.
Ezra Miller recently wrapped filming the Warner Bros. film The Flash, which is currently scheduled to hit theaters in June 2023. Miller’s second arrest comes less than a week after the release of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, another Warner Bros. project, which sees the actor reprising the role of Credence Barebone, a key figure in the Harry Potter spin-off series.
In 2020, Miller was criticized for a viral video that appeared to show the actor choking a woman and throwing her to the ground. The incident took place outside a bar in Reykjavik, Iceland. Miller was escorted from the premises but the woman did not file charges against the actor.
Directed by Andy Muschietti from a script written by Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson, The Flash is inspired by the Flashpoint comic book storyline, which followed Barry Allen as he navigated an altered DC Universe. Written by Geoff Johns and penciled by Andy Kuber, Flashpoint radically altered the status of the DC Comics universe and led to the launch of the New 52 titles.
In addition to Ezra Miller, The Flash also features Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck as two separate versions of Batman, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Antje Traue as Faora-Ul and Sasha Calle as Supergirl. Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Rudy Mancuso and Luke Brandon Field are also on board in undisclosed roles.
The Flash opens on June 23, 2023. Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding Ezra Miller and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
