Is The Flash making a runback on the DC Universe? A rumor suggests that DC Studios has put a familiar name in the writer’s room of The Brave and The Bold!
Out of all the projects in the DC Universe, perhaps the one that fans have been waiting for an update on the most is Batman: The Brave and The Bold. Perhaps the biggest hold-up on that, at least according to executive James Gunn, is that the project has yet to lock down a writer with a solid script. As such, there’s no production to move forward with.
The good news is: James Gunn seems to have found a writer. The bad news? It’s probably not the one fans wanted. A new report from veteran entertainment reporter Jeff Sneider suggests that Bumblebee and Birds of Prey writer Christina Hodson is set to pen Batman: The Brave and The Bold, making this her second DC Universe project with director Andy Muschietti after The Flash back in 2023.
Who Is Writing Batman: The Brave And The Bold?
Interestingly enough, this rumor may actually be shakier than most that come from Jeff Sneider about the DC Universe. As pointed out by WayneG1939 on Twitter/X, James Gunn has previously referred to the writer of Batman: The Brave and The Bold as a “guy.” Given that Christina Hodson uses she/her pronouns, it’s a strike against The Flash writer being brought on to the project.
However, Apocalyptic Horseman suggests that Christina Hodson isn’t the first writer for Batman: The Brave and The Bold. Rather, James Gunn has churned through quite a few candidates to pen the DC Universe reboot. The Flash writer is simply the most recent candidate, and now the most likely to have their script accepted by the studio.
