The launch trailer for The Last of Us Part II debuts online before the game arrives on PlayStation 4 next week.

After an incredibly long wait and controversial plot leaks in the run up to The Last of Us Part II‘s release next week. Ahead of the game’s June 19 arrival date, Sony released its launch trailer for the post-apocalyptic game focusing on Ellie’s journey through the devastated world as she seeks revenge against a group of people who’ve wronged her.

The moody new trailer doesn’t reveal too much, instead focusing on Ellie promising “I’m gonna find and I’m gonna kill, every last one of them.” The footage briefly shows Ellie brutally beating her enemies as well as hiding from a group of them armed with rifles, and we only glimpse a tearful conversation she has with Joel. The Last of Us Part II‘s launch trailer doesn’t show off the gameplay, but it links to a few videos at the end that give players a better example of what to expect. Take a look below.

The first The Last of Us video game centers on the relationship between a smuggler named Joel and 14-year-old Ellie, the latter of whom may be the key to curing the deadly pandemic that resulted in the post-apocalypse world of the game. Hired to smuggle Ellie out of a quarantine zone, Joel finds himself relying on the teenage girl just as much as she relies on him as they fight to survive on their journey across the United States.

HBO is currently developing a television adaptation that will cover the events of the first game, with the upcoming sequel titled potentially serving as the basis for additional content. Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann will pen and executive the series. The HBO adaptation will be a co-production with Sony Pictures Television and in association with PlayStation Productions. Carolyn Strauss and Naughty Dog president Evan Wells also serve as executive producers.
