‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3 To Be Released December 2021

Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy confirmed that The Mandalorian season three is coming to Disney Plus on Christmas Day in 2021.

The Mandalorian season two is nearing its end with two more episodes left. In the meantime, Lucasfilm has just announced a ton of other Star Wars projects that are set to hit the streaming service with Ahsoka, The Acolyte, Rangers of the New Republic, and others. As for what started it all, The Mandalorian is set to continue with a third season that creator Jon Favreau has reportedly been writing since the spring. Filming for The Mandalorian season three is expected to begin soon and we now have an idea for when we can expect it.

The first-ever live-action Star Wars series was released alongside Disney Plus’ launch in November a year ago with season two premiering at the end of October of this year. Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy confirmed during their Investor Day presentation that the upcoming third season for The Mandalorian will arrive on the streaming service Christmas Day in 2021.

The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito and Carl Weathers, with Rosario Dawson joining the series as Ahsoka Tano. The Star Wars project is being directed by series creator Jon Favreau, executive producer Dave Filoni and fellow season one directors Rick Famuyiwa and Bryce Dallas Howard. Ant-Man director Peyton Reed will also helm at least one episode as will star Carl Weathers and Sin City helmer Robert Rodriguez.
