The Marvels is officially taking flight in IMAX this November. A new TV Spot for the film shows off gorgeous footage of Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and Monica Rambeau taking the fight for humanity across the cosmos.

The Marvels puts Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel on a collision course with MCU newcomers Ms. Marvel (played by Iman Vellani) and Monica Rambeau (played by Teyonah Parris). With the three female heroes being tied together by powers from beyond the stars, a new TV Spot for the film’s IMAX release shows off crisp fight scenes of the heroines in space. The full TV spot can be seen below:

The Marvels only recently got upgraded to IMAX after the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes delayed Dune 2. While it’s a shame projects like Dune 2 get delayed due to studios refusing to pay their workers fairly, Captain Marvel fans are certain to grip the edge of their seats when they see Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers save the day on the biggest screen MCU films have to offer.

The talent behind The Marvels

The Marvels is set to be a groundbreaking film in many ways. Not only does it feature three powerful female superheroes, but it also has a female director, Nia DaCosta, who previously directed the horror flick Candyman. The movie features a cast that includes Zawe Ashton, Park Seo-joon, Saagar Shaikh, Zenobia Shroff, and Mohan Kapur.

“She has a really calm vibe, too,” Iman Vellani said about DaCosta. “These movies are not easy to make at all. There’s like a million, bajillion little moving pieces. She and [executive producer] Mary [Livanos] did such a great job to keep morale high. Even if there were days where they wanted to rip people’s heads off, they would never show it and never put their stress on anyone else.”

In addition to directing The Marvels, Nia DaCosta also co-wrote the script alongside Megan McDonnell, Elissa Karasik, and Zeb Wells. During an interview, DaCosta described the movie as being “full comic book madness,” teasing what audiences can expect from the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe project.
