Liam Hemsworth has officially taken up the mantle of The Witcher! Set photos from season 4 show the actor alongside a brand new character.
Ever since it was announced that Liam Hemsworth would be replacing Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia on The Witcher, fans have been skeptically eyeing any news about season 4 to cast their final judgment on the recast. With filming starting to wrap up, photos are finally starting to find their way online showing Hemsworth on set as the iconic character.
This newest set photo from season 4 shows off Liam Hemsworth in full garb with his iconic long hair. He’s joined by Laurence Fishbourne, who will be joining the cast of The Witcher as Regis heading into the next season. This is along with other set photos highlighting new and returning cast members alike, including but not limited to Meng’er Zhang as Milva and Danny Woodburn as Zoltan Chivay.
Liam Hemsworth’s Journey As The Witcher
It’s likely fans will take time to warm up to Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia, potentially leading to mixed reactions heading into season 4. This means they won’t have long to enjoy the actor’s take on the character if he knocks it out of the park, as The Witcher is set to end with its fifth season. And, given the grim reception of its spin-offs, there likely won’t be many places for Hemsworth to appear outside of that.
That being said, it seems the cast and crew of The Witcher are putting their all behind Liam Hemsworth heading into season 4. So even if he may not be able to capture the exact same energy that Henry Cavill had when it came to Geralt of Rivia, it’s clear that concerted energy is being put in to make sure he’s memorable in his own right for the show’s final two seasons on Netflix.
