Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi has responded to a disgruntled fan who criticized his work on Ragnarok.

More exciting details about Thor: Love and Thunder have surfaced online since the film was announced at San Diego Comic-Con. Valkyrie was confirmed as the first LGBTQ hero in the MCU and Jeff Goldblum teased his return as the Grandmaster. One fan on Twitter didn’t seem so excited, saying that Taika Waititi “ruined” Thor: Ragnarok for him, as that there was “too much comedy” in the movie. Taika Waititi had the following response to that fan:

Sounds like that fan will continue to be disgruntled because the comedy will be there. Chris Hemsworth has expressed his liking for working with Taika Waititi. Audience scores on Rotten Tomatoes show that more people like Thor: Ragnarok (score: 93) compared to Dark World (66) and Thor (77).

Aside from Thor: Love and Thunder, Taika Waititi has some more films coming up. The first is Jojo Rabbit, an anti-hate satire about a boy in Hitler’s army who discovers his mother is hiding a Jewish girl. Waititi himself is directing and playing Adolf Hitler. Taika Waititi is also involved with the Star Wars universe. He directed the eighth episode of the upcoming Disney Plus series The Mandalorian. Earlier in 2019, Taika Waititi directed the pilot for What We Do in the Dark along with several other episodes of the FX series. The show is a spin-off of the film with the same name, which Taika Waititi starred in and directed.
