‘Thor: The Dark World’ Concept Art Reveals Unused Design For Balder

Thor Dark World Balder

Marvel Studios Head of Visual Development Charlie Wen has shared concept art of the unused design for Balder in Thor: The Dark World.

The Dark World explored the God Thunder’s homeworld of Asgard and the life of its inhabitants more than the first Thor film. However, a key character from the comics named Balder Odinson, the half-brother of Thor, has yet to be introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Nonetheless, Charlie Wen has shared a concept illustration of a design for Balder that was obviously never used in Thor: The Dark World. In his caption, Wen explained that he never finished this particular illustration because the design for Balder was not working for him at this stage.
