‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ Promo Art Gives Valkyrie, Korg & Mighty Thor A Comic Book Makeover

Thor: Love and Thunder gets a Marvel comic cover.

Taika Waititi Korg Thor Love And Thunder

New promotional artwork for Thor: Love and Thunder reimagines Chris Hemsworth’s and Natalie Portman’s versions of Thor, along with Korg and Valkyrie, in classic Marvel comics style.

Thor: Love and Thunder will see the return of Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster as she comes into possession of Mjolnir, transforming her into the Mighty Thor. Portman is not going solo as Marvel’s new Thor just yet though, as she will be accompanied by Chris Hemsworth’s returning Thor Odinson. Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie, now King of New Asgard, and Taika Waititi’s loveable Korg are also coming back after joining the franchise in Thor: Ragnarok and reappearing in Avengers: Endgame.

A new piece of promotional artwork for the film, shared on Twitter by @lovethundernews, reveals a look at these central characters from Thor: Love and Thunder, as depicted in the style of a Marvel comic book. The artwork shows Natalie Portman’s masked Mighty Thor wielding the cracked Mjolnir, calling out “For Asgard!” while Chris Hemsworth’s Thor raises his axe, Stormbreaker, into the air behind her. Korg and Valkyrie look on in the background. Check out the artwork below:

The comic cover artwork also features Thor’s two goats – Toothgnasher and Toothgrinder. The goats, who were owned by Thor in the comics and in classic Norse mythology, will make their MCU debut in Love and Thunder.

Directed by Taika Waititi from a script he co-wrote with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, Thor: Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, Christian Bale, Jaimie Alexander, Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, and Jeff Goldblum. Matt Damon, Sam Neill, Luke Hemsworth, Melissa McCarthy, Ben Falcone, and Russell Crowe are also on board.

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released on July 8, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the Thor sequel leading up to its release, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
