Is Sentry getting a proper supersuit in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Lewis Pullman hints at his character changing into a proper costume during the course of Thunderbolts.

Lewis Pullman is officially set to join the MCU as ‘Bob’ in the upcoming Thunderbolts film. However, it’s become a bit of an open secret that the actual character that he’ll be playing in the project is Robert Reynolds, better known to comic fans as the Sentry. Many fans were hopeful that they’d at least get a tease about the actor’s true role in the first trailer for the movie.

However, when the footage finally hit the web, fans were disappointed when Bob was left wearing hospital scrubs. While a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it belt buckle seemingly confirms that Lewis Pullman will in-fact be playing Sentry in Thunderbolts, there were definitely hopes of a more bombastic reveal for the trailer meant to get fans on board with the MCU’s most controversial project.

Lewis Pullman Confirms A New Costume For Bob

Luckily, it seems Bob will in fact be getting a super suit over the course of Thunderbolts. Lewis Pullman sat down for an interview to talk about his MCU debut as Bob in the recent trailer, assuring fans that he won’t be stuck in scrubs for the entirety of the film. While he doesn’t go into detail about his costume, he does remark that he hopes the infamous hospital-wear gets washed.

“I love the trailer and yesterday was the first time I saw it really, because when I first saw I was at Comic-Con and I couldn’t really crane my neck like that, but, I think it’s great. I will say he does make his way out of those scrubs,” Pullman explained during a recent chat with ComicBook.com “He gets to change, and I hope he…I don’t know, it wasn’t camera, but I hope he washes them. But he does get to relieve himself of those scrubs, which, you know, is nice.”

Even though most hardcore fans assumed that Sentry would be getting his own costume in Thunderbolts, it’s good to have confirmation that Bob won’t be stuck in scrubs for the entirety of the project. Even though it’s unclear how long Lewis Pullman will be sticking around the MCU, it’s clear that fans are excited to see him in action when the project finally hits the silver screen.

Thunderbolts is currently set to hit theaters on May 2, 2025. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
