Superboy actor Joshua Orpin took to Instagram to provide a brand new look at Krypto the Superdog in Titans season two.
With the recent and unexpected cancellation of Swamp Thing, many fans are curious about how sturdy these DC Universe streaming shows are. While Swamp Thing’s predecessors Titans and Doom Patrol did well, it seems that the DC streaming platform may be in a bit of trouble. Currently, the streaming service is still in production on some projects such as the live-action Stargirl show as well as the Kayley Cuoco-led animated Harley Quinn series.
However, with Doom Patrol still in limbo in regards to getting a second season, DC Universe’s flagship show Titans is the only original show getting another outing. Additionally, many fans are speculating that the streaming service is hedging its bets and will try to introduce lots of iconic DC Comics characters in order to boost interest in Titans.
Two iconic DC Comics characters that will be featured in the second season of Titans are Superboy and Krypto the Superdog, who made their first appearance in the post-credits of the season one finale. It has been announced that Australian actor Joshua Orpin will play Superboy and that Krypto will be his sidekick, but not much else is known about the characters and their roles in season two.
Superboy himself Joshua Orpin recently gave fans a very exciting tease for the coming adventures of Superboy and Krypto by posting a behind-the-scenes look at the superdog. You can check out his photo below.
While not much is known about Superboy and Krypto’s involvement, fans can anticipate the organization Cadmus to be introduced as season 1’s post-credits scene showed the brutal aftermath of Superboy escaping from a Cadmus facility, leaving behind a trail of bodies. Superboy and Krypto have also been teased in other shows like Doom Patrol, further strengthening the connectivity between DC Universe’s live-action shows.
