Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem brings the turtles back to the big screen in a brand new animated adventure written by Seth Rogen. The first official trailer for the film shows the titular heroes struggling with giant mutants, the NYPD, and the most dangerous threat of all: Self-doubt.
After seven years since their last feature film in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, everyone’s favorite lean green ninja team returns to theaters with Mutant Mayhem. The film’s official trailer show the brothers rising to the occasion as heroes as they struggle with saving the city at the cost of taking down the only other mutants they’ve ever known. Nickelodeon’s first-ever CG-animated theatrical production, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem features a star-studded cast of voice actors, led by Nicolas Cantu as Leonardo, Shamon Brown Jr. as Michelangelo, Micah Abbey as Donatello, Brady Noon as Raphael and Jackie Chan as Splinter. The supporting cast also includes Ayo Edebiri as April O’Neil, Ice Cube as Superfly, Seth Rogen as Bebop, John Cena as Rocksteady, Paul Rudd as Mondo Gecko, Natasia Demetriou as Wingnut, Rose Byrne as Leatherhead, Post Malone as Ray Fillet, Hannibal Buress as Genghis Frog, Maya Rudolph as Cynthia Ultrom and Giancarlo Esposito as Baxter Stockman.
What to expect from the TMNT movie
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is being directed by Jeff Rowe, who previously worked on The Mitchells vs. the Machines. The script for Mutant Mayhem was written by Brendan O’Brien, with Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver serving as producers via their Point Grey Productions banner.
The official Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem synopsis teases that “after years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.”
