It was an insane victory lap for fans who have stuck around with the franchise since the early 2000s, with many considering movie as the defining feature of Marvel’s Multiverse Saga.
However, Tobey Maguire’s time as Spider-Man may not be over just yet. Multiple accounts, including UnBoxPHD, have reportedly spotted the actor in London. For those unaware, Avengers: Doomsday is currently shooting in London (as well as many other places around the world). This has led many to wonder if Maguire may officially be making his return in the upcoming project.

It’s important to note that, despite multiple reports, there’s no tangible evidence of Tobey Maguire actually being in London. Even if he was, that’s far from confirmation that the actor will be making his return in Avengers: Doomsday, or any other project that Marvel is currently filming. So while the internet can have its fun speculating, the conversation may ultimately be fruitless.
However, just because Tobey Maguire may not return in Avengers: Doomsday doesn’t mean he’s gone for good. Early reports suggested that his incarnation of Spider-Man may play a key role in Secret Wars. Given that film will likely be celebrating Marvel’s entire cinematic history, it may be the perfect place for one final return.
