Tom Felton Talks About His Relationship To Barry Allen In ‘The Flash’

Tom Felton has recently joined season three of The Flash and has been open about the fact that his character will be causing some conflicts for our Flash favorites.

Felton will be playing Julian Dorn, a CSI agent that also works at the Central City Policy Department. Dorn will be working alongside Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), allowing for their characters to interact.

“He’s a forensic expert, so he treads on the toes of much of what Barry is good at. Hence they have a slightly abrasive relationship at first. I say abrasive, but I mean that – clearly because of the events of the season – none of the relationships that Barry has had with other cast members is the same.”

As a result of The Flash season two finale, season three will find our characters in completely different situations compared to before. Felton explained that this change in storyline helps to create the dynamic between his character and Allen.

“He’s not familiar with me, but I’m familiar with him, so it’s an odd dynamic. It seems like a love/hate thing at first.”

The Harry Potter star was also asked if this character would be a change of pace from his traditional acting roles. Felton played one of the main villains throughout the Harry Potter series and played an extremely unlikeable character in Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

“Absolutely not. I would hope the opposite.”
