Tom Hardy may have just teased Tom Holland’s Spider-Man joining his Venom sequel.
Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is once again the talk of the town due to an Instagram post by Venom star Tom Hardy which has since been deleted. In the Instagram post, Tom Hardy is dressed up in one of the costumes that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man wears in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This could have been a cheeky nod to Venom star Tom Hardy trying on his Halloween costume, but it’s interesting that he decided to delete the picture. After all, it doesn’t look harmful or spoilerish at all. Or is it?

For months, we’ve heard of teases and rumors of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man joining the Venom sequel. This almost became a reality when it was revealed that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man was leaving the MCU. Fortunately, Sony and Marvel came together to readjust the deal. We aren’t privy to the deal, but it may just allowed Tom Holland’s Spider-Man to appear opposite Tom Hardy’s Venom in Sony’s Universe of Marvel Characters.
Now, this is just a photograph, but Tom Hardy is aware that this would fuel expectations and rumors, which has fans thinking we might just see Tom Holland and Tom Hardy duke it out against Carnage. Seeing as Tom Hardy’s Venom will begin shooting in the coming months to hit its October 2020 release, we should expect an official Tom Holland confirmation in the next few weeks, if it were to happen.
What are your thoughts on the deleted photograph? Do you think Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will star in Tom Hardy’s Venom? Let us know in the comments!
Tom Hardy is set to reprise his role as Eddie Brock in the yet-to-be titled Venom sequel. Andy Serkis is directing Venom 2 from a script by Kelly Marcel, with Tom Hardy’s co-stars set to include returning actors Michelle Williams and Woody Harrelson. It is widely believed Sony intends to release Tom Hardy’s Venom 2 on October 2, 2020, a date the studio is currently holding for an untitled Marvel project.
Here’s the official synopsis for Tom Hardy’s Venom:
The evolution story of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex and badass character – Venom! Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) is a broken man after he loses everything including his job and fiancée. Just when his life is at its lowest, he becomes host to an alien symbiote which results in extraordinary superpowers – transforming him into Venom. Will these powers be enough for this new lethal protector to defeat great evil forces, especially against the far stronger and more weaponized symbiote rival, Riot?
Directed by Ruben Fleischer from a script written by Jeff Pinkner & Scott Rosenberg and Kelly Marcel, Venom stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott, Jenny Slate, Ron Cephas Jones, and Woody Harrelson.
