Tom Hiddleston Attending 2016 SDCC For ‘Kong: Skull Island’

San Diego Comic Con 2016 has just added some major star power. Tom Hiddleston will be attending SDCC in promotion for Kong: Skull Island. Hiddleston is best known for attending Comic Con as Loki and sending fans into a frenzy simply with his presence in Hall H.

Skull Island will likely be presented as part of Warner Bros’ Comic-Con presentation, which looks to be heavily focused on DC. No other member of the cast has yet to be announced. Skull Island features John Goodman, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson and John C. Reilly. Jackson has become a Comic-Con fan favorite over the years by playing Nick Fury.

Back in 2013, Hiddleston won Comic-Con by crashing the panel for Thor: The Dark World as Loki, ever since he has become a massive fan favorite.

Roberts recently spoke out about how this film will be larger than life and entertaining.

“This is going to be the biggest Kong there’s ever been. Not 10 foot or 30 foot, but a 100-foot ape.”

New plot details have also surfaced regarding the film.

“The story is about a man (Hiddleston) who travels to the mythical island after his brother is stranded there trying to retrieve the mythical serum Titan which is believed to be the cure for all illnesses and diseases. The man must lead a rescue team to save his brother while confronting the creatures that inhabit the island.”

Kong: Skull Island will be directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts and opens in theaters on March 10, 2017.
