Tom Hiddleston’s Loki Gets Viking Hairstyle In ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Concept Art

Newly-surfaced concept art from Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok gives Tom Hiddleston’s Loki a classic viking hairstyle.

Tom Hiddleston’s Loki is one of the most memorable characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Loki made his MCU debut in 2011’s Thor, with Hiddleston’s character slowly becoming an anti-hero of sorts in his next appearances, constantly bickering with his brother but exhibiting vague inklings of morals. The Thor series has evolved the most considering it began with very serious Shakespearean stories only to slowly morph into a light sci-fi adventure by the time Thor: Ragnarok hit cinemas.

Thor: Rangarok introduced us to more of Asgard’s mythology but sacrificed the character’s viking outfits in favor of Jack Kirby-inspired clothes that looked more like they were from the future. In new concept art from the movie, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki can be seen with a traditional viking hairstyle that’ll make you wish he actually had it in the film. The concept art comes from artist Aleksi Briclot, who says that this hairstyle has a “nothern vibe.” Honestly, the haircut is pretty out there, even for a film like Thor: Ragnarok, but it’s still pretty impressive. It may have been odd for Tom Hiddleston’s Loki to rock because it does seem so traditional for the region but it wouldn’t have been surprising if Thor rocked this.

The next film in the franchise is titled Thor: Love and Thunder. Directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, and Natalie Portman. The film will be based on Jason Aaron’s Mighty Thor comic book run, with Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster becoming the new Thor.

Thor: Love and Thunder is scheduled to be released in theaters on February 18, 2022. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news regarding Loki, Tom Hiddleston, and Thor: Love and Thunder, and be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content in the future!
