Is Tom Hiddleston back as Loki? The MCU star breaks his silence on the rumor he’ll return in Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars.
Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars sits at a weird vertex in the history of the MCU. Unlike prior crossovers and the ending of the last saga, there’s no clear convergence point for every character that was important to the Multiverse Saga. In fact, it’s been openly stated that not every character that debuted or appeared in this latest slate of projects will appear in the long-awaited finale.
Loki himself sits at a very interesting place in this very interesting moment. While the character played a very key role in establishing the Multiverse Saga in the MCU, his Disney Plus series served more as a victory lap for Tom Hiddleston, who already finished his tenure as the character in the last saga. This has left many fans wondering if he’d even appear in Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars, let alone how big of a role he’d play if he did.
Will Tom Hiddleston Return As Loki?
Tom Hiddleston was actually asked about a possible return to the MCU during a recent autograph signing. Sadly, he’s had too much media training to give away anything about Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars! When asked by a fan if there was any chance that he would appear in the projects, he gave a quick and polite “I don’t know” before continuing on with the meet-up.

Of course, nobody expected for Tom Hiddleston to reveal his return as Loki to some random person on the street. However, there’s not much to analyze in his words about whether he will actually appear in Avengers: Doomsday or Secret Wars. Though given his words were “I don’t know”, it is certainly possible that even if he doesn’t know if he’ll appear in the endcaps for the Multiverse Saga given the current state of things!
