Jacob Batalon commented on Disney and Sony’s decision to longer co-produce the Tom Holland Spider-Man films.
Last month, Sony rejected Disney’s proposed 50/50 co-financing stake on the Tom Holland Spider-Man films. The decision resulted in Sony opting to move forward on new Spider-Man films without Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige as a creative lead and Tom Holland’s wall-crawler no longer being a part of the MCU.
Now, Spider-Man star Jacob Batalon, who portrays Ned Leeds in the Tom Holland film series, has shared his thoughts on the Disney/Sony split in a post on his Instagram Stories feed. The post was prompted by a fan who asked Jacob Batalon about his thoughts on the drama that ensued after Disney and Sony parted ways, to which the actor replied: “Really not a big deal.”

Despite the split with Disney, Sony is reportedly planning to producer more Spider-Man films with Tom Holland in the role. Of course, Jacob Batalon is also expected to reprise his role in the wall-crawler’s next cinematic outing.
Tom Holland and Jacob Batalon were last seen in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Here’s the official synopsis for the movie:
