The Hollywood Reporter notes Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Far From Home is on course for a $150 million-plus debut, according to tracking.
While Avengers: Endgame marked the culmination of the 22-film Infinity Saga, the third phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe officially concludes with the release of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Far From Home. The long-awaited Spider-Man sequel is set to open over the six-day Fourth of July holiday weekend and according to individuals with access to early surveys, the film is tracking for a debut in $150 million to $160 million range at the domestic box office.
Currently, the studio’s early tracking prediction reportedly places the Tom Holland superhero film’s opening gross at $154 million. Of course, estimates are likely to increase as Sony makes its final marketing push and according to THR, some industry experts already predict Spider-Man: Far From Home could earn $180 million over the six-day holiday.
