‘Toy Story 4’ Rotten Tomatoes Score Officially Revealed

Toy Story 4 Pixar Combat Carl

The Rotten Tomatoes score for Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 4 has been revealed.

Toy Story 4 is set to bring back the classic toys from the original Toy Story, following them on an adventure as they attempt to save a toy created by their new owner Bonnie. The film will see fan favorite toys like Tom Hank’s Woody and Tim Allen’s Buzz Lightyear make their big screen return. While the film is heavily anticipated, many fans are worried about franchise fatigue following the already incredible first three films. Toy Story 4 was a big risk for many considering the franchise has a stellar Rotten Tomatoes history with Toy Story and Toy Story 2 both sitting at a 100% critic rating, and Toy Story 3 sitting at an impressive 98% from critics.

Now, the Rotten Tomatoes score for Toy Story 4 has been revealed, and it appears that the film is off to a great start on the popular review aggregator site. The highly-anticipated animated feature is currently at 100% with 82 reviews. Here’s the critic consensus:

Heartwarming, funny, and beautifully animated, Toy Story 4 manages the unlikely feat of extending — and perhaps concluding — a practically perfect animated saga.

Toy Story 4 opens in theaters on June 21, 2019. Here’s the official synopsis:

Woody (voice of Tom Hanks) has always been confident about his place in the world, and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. So when Bonnie’s beloved new craft-project-turned-toy, Forky (voice of Tony Hale), declares himself as “trash” and not a toy, Woody takes it upon himself to show Forky why he should embrace being a toy. But when Bonnie takes the whole gang on her family’s road trip excursion, Woody ends up on an unexpected detour that includes a reunion with his long-lost friend Bo Peep (voice of Annie Potts). After years of being on her own, Bo’s adventurous spirit and life on the road belie her delicate porcelain exterior. As Woody and Bo realize they’re worlds apart when it comes to life as a toy, they soon come to find that’s the least of their worries.

Directed by Josh Cooley from a script written by Stephany Folsom, Toy Story 4 features the voice talents of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Annie Potts, Joan Cusack, Blake Clark, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, Estelle Harris, Jodi Benson, Michael Keaton, Jeff Pidgeon, Kristen Schaal, Bonnie Hunt, Timothy Dalton, Jeff Garlin, Laurie Metcalf, Lori Alan, Tony Hale, Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele and Keanu Reeves.
