Is Tramell Tillman the next “big bad” of the MCU? A rumor for Spider-Man: Brand New Day suggests the actor may play a key role in the Mutant Saga.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day has plenty of actors confirmed to appear in the movie who have unclear roles, be it Sadie Sink’s unknown character or how the Hulk plays into any of this. However, there is perhaps no bigger mystery than what role Tramell Tillman will play.
Despite being one of the most high profile actors to join the cast of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, almost nothing is known about the role Tramell Tillman will play in the film. However, some light was shed on the actor’s part in a new rumor from Alex Perez at the Cosmic Circus, which seems to suggest he’ll be leading the Department of Damage Control.
“His role in the movie will be to lead an investigation by the [Department of Damage Control] to apprehend a new rogue metahuman they have been keeping an eye on for a while. The character in question is being portrayed by Sadie Sink.”
“Sink’s character will be under the protection of Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle, which will make him a person of interest in the DODC’s investigation as well, along with Bruce Banner and Spider-Man.”
Tramell Tillman’s Role In The MCU
This description may sound disappointing to fans who were hoping for a meatier role for Tramell Tillman. However, it seems as though Spider-Man: Brand New Day is just the start of his journey in the MCU. The rumor goes on to state that trying to capture Sadie Sink is merely a proof of concept to get funding, with their methods growing more extreme from there.
“The idea behind this storyline is to get the general public to fear superheroes and superpowered individuals, allowing the agency to secure federal funding, continue its experiments on them, and develop weapons to neutralize the ‘mutant threat.'”
One can’t help but ignore the parallels between the role Tramell Tillman is reportedly set to play in Spider-Man: Brand New Day and the story of Bolivar Trask- one of the X-Men’s biggest villains and creator of the Sentinels. While it’s not confirmed that he’ll be playing that specific character in the MCU, chances are certainly greater than 0 that he is.
