The Ultimate Cut Of ‘Batman v Superman’ Has 120 Minutes Of Bonus Features

imageIt was announced that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice would have an extended 181 Minute Rated R Ultimate Edition  in late February . Since then the film was released and it definitely feels like bits and pieces were left on the cutting room floor. Recently David Brenner, an editor on the film, had an interview where he stated that the original cut of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was 4 hours long. That looks more and more likely to be the truth.

Swedish retailer CDON.com’s description of the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition Blu-Ray claims that the extended edition of the film will be 181 minutes long. Interestingly it lists that one of the discs will have over 120 minutes of bonus features that are sure to give a DC Fan a day full of activities. While the 120 minutes of bonus features are more than likely to be behind the scenes footage, I’m more inclined to believe that it could possibly be the deleted scenes from the original four hour cut. Check out their description for the Blu-Ray:

Disc 1: Theatrical Version (Includes 120 minutes with bonus features)
Disc 2: Extended Version (181 min R-rated)

What do you guys think of the Ultimate Edition of the Blu-Ray? Are you excited for it? Let us know in the comments section!

Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is in theaters now and the Ultimate Edition is expected to hit retailers in July.

I would sacrifice a million virgins to get the Supreme Ultimate Extended Cut with 100 hours of footage, if such a thing even exists.

Holy crap I need this now. I’ve already pre-ordered the blu ray and I’m thinking of purchasing the soundtrack soon because I keep pulling it up on YouTube on my phone and its killing my data XD.

I loved the BTS and bonus stuff on Watchmen and Man of Steel. Watchmen particularly had cool stuff about when the graphic novel released and how it changed the industry and also a cool feature on vigilantes in real life. Sounds like there may be some cool stuff for the BvS blu ray as well, this can’t come soon enough.

Yes I’m eager to see what they left on the slaughterhouse floor, as that film’s story was an abattoir. Still, I saw it and I’m going to buy the Blu-ray because, for all it’s problems, there were two good films crammed in there, trying to break free.

February? We will have to wait almost a full year after it’s release to see this extended cut. That seems like too far away.

Wayyy too far. I wonder what the deal is.
