It was announced that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice would have an extended 181 Minute Rated R Ultimate Edition in late February . Since then the film was released and it definitely feels like bits and pieces were left on the cutting room floor. Recently David Brenner, an editor on the film, had an interview where he stated that the original cut of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was 4 hours long. That looks more and more likely to be the truth.
Swedish retailer CDON.com’s description of the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition Blu-Ray claims that the extended edition of the film will be 181 minutes long. Interestingly it lists that one of the discs will have over 120 minutes of bonus features that are sure to give a DC Fan a day full of activities. While the 120 minutes of bonus features are more than likely to be behind the scenes footage, I’m more inclined to believe that it could possibly be the deleted scenes from the original four hour cut. Check out their description for the Blu-Ray:
Disc 1: Theatrical Version (Includes 120 minutes with bonus features)
Disc 2: Extended Version (181 min R-rated)
