Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has proven that it’s impossible to have too much Baby Groot. After becoming a fan-favorite Marvel character after his debut in the first film, “dumber, smaller Groot” already comes in swinging for the fences and right back into our hearts.
Obviously, writer/director James Gunn must have plenty of Groot moments that didn’t make it into the final film. Thankfully, this brand new featurette entitled “Ravager Groot” gives fans a look at why we see Groot donning a Ravager jacket tailor made for him.
In this video, we also see the character of Gef (Steve Agee) ask Taserface (Chris Sullivan) if he was allowed to smash Groot into pieces. Obviously, Taserface refuses to let that happen because Groot is just too adorable to kill.
We then see an extra line delivered by Gef that wasn’t featured in the final film, asking Taserface if he could at least “poke his eyes out”. You can see the featurette down below.
Remember, never mess with Groot. No matter what size he’s at, he’s ready to bring you down if push comes to shove.
Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
Written and directed by James Gunn and starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan, Sean Gunn, Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is in theaters now.
‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2’ Easter Eggs & Other References
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 has been out here in the states for a week. It’s no surprise that it was the number one movie this past weekend as fans were more than excited for the return of Star-Lord and the gang as they once again saved the galaxy. The film was flawed but fun, and had a great deal of heart as the concept of family was greatly explored throughout the film. Not only did it focus on Star-Lord as he learned who his real father was, but also his adoptive family the Guardians as they go through the normal pains and growths that any family goes through. Each member of the Guardians (and some new members) had great character arcs and overall, the film was incredibly entertaining.
This being a Marvel film, of course, it was loaded with Easter Eggs. Because this is a shared cinematic universe, almost every film within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) references Marvel comics as well as other films within the same universe. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 is no different as the film had a plethora of Easter Eggs related to Marvel comics, the MCU, and other things as well. Of course: Spoilers from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. Let’s take a look at a few of them. Click Next to continue….
