Latest ‘Venom’ Clip Reveals Why Eddie Brock Is In San Francisco

The latest Venom clip features Eddie Brock and Anne Weying on a date, where it is revealed why Brock is in San Francisco.

The upcoming film has been said to have been inspired by the comic book storyline, Lethal Protector which also takes place in San Francisco. In the storyline, Venom and Spider-Man agree to leave each other alone as long as he commits no more crimes; This causes Brock to move to San Francisco. In a newly released clip from upcoming Sony-Marvel film, a different reason is given for why Brock is in San Francisco:

Venom follows Eddie Brock as he attempts to revive his journalism career by investigating the Life Foundation only to come into with an alien symbiote that bonds with him, granting him powers and transforming him into the titular anti-hero.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer from a script by Jeff Pinkner & Scott Rosenberg and Kelly Marcel, the film stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott, Jenny Slate, Ron Cephas Jones, and Woody Harrelson.

Venom hits theaters on October 5, 2018.
