Spider-Man may finally be getting his symbiote! The latest Spider-Man: Brand New Day set photo teases Venom’s grand return to the silver screen.
For nearly a decade, fans have been waiting for Tom Holland’s version of Spider-Man to get his own symbiote suit. It had been teased dozens of times throughout the years, with almost all opportunities falling apart due to Sony’s failing villain universe. And with Spider-Man: Brand New Day seeming to take a more street-level approach, fans resigned themselves for going yet another Spider-Man saga without Venom.
Though fans may have given up too quickly. The latest set photo from Spider-Man: Brand New Day suggests that the symbiote may make its debut yet! Seen below, a poster defining “Symbiosis” can be seen on a wall. While a tad on the nose, this could be used for a shot where the host of the Venom symbiote is inspired to give it the iconic moniker.

The Venom Symbiote’s Secret Host
Given how much Tom Holland’s hero has been through, many expect that he’ll be the one to don the symbiote in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. This certainly makes sense, especially given how iconic the black suit was to the original Secret Wars event. However, that may also be why the hero doesn’t end up with the Venom symbiote- at least not yet.
Michael Mando has made some interesting posts leading up to Spider-Man: Brand New Day. In them, he seems to suggest that Scorpion may actually be the one getting the Venom symbiote. This could explain how the villain appears in this movie, while also saving Tom Holland donning the black suit for a needle drop in the upcoming Secret Wars event.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters July 31st, 2026. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Spider-Man’s Marvel Cinematic Universe future, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
