Marvel Studios is reportedly eyeing acclaimed actors Vanessa Kirby and Joseph Quinn to portray key characters in the forthcoming Fantastic Four movie.
Hollywood insider Jeff Sneider dropped the major Fantastic Four casting news during an episode of the Hot Mic podcast. According to Sneider, Vanessa Kirby and Joseph Quinn are under serious consideration for playing the roles of Sue Storm and Johnny Storm, two of the members of the Fantastic Four.
In the comics, Sue and Johnny Storm possess remarkable abilities that make them invaluable assets to the Fantastic Four. With the power to turn invisible and generate force fields, Sue’s skills as the Invisible Woman prove crucial in both combat situations and strategic planning. Meanwhile, Johnny possesses the ability to engulf his body in flames and fly at superhuman speeds as the Human Torch.
The Fantastic Four characters were created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, with the team making its first comic book appearance in 1961. The previous Fantastic Four movies, while popular, were not well-received by fans or critics, and Marvel Studios has an opportunity to right the wrongs of the past and deliver a feature that is true to the spirit of the comics.
