Jon Bernthal is set to make his return as The Punisher in Daredevil: Born Again. The actor channels his inner Frank Castle to train for the role in an incredible new video.
The video comes courtesy of Taran Tactical Innovations on Instagram, an online-based gun retailer known for creating both practical and non-functional guns and accessories, the latter mostly used for Hollywood productions. The video features Jon Bernthal training with Thomas Jane, who starred as the titular character in 2004’s The Punisher film. The caption invites viewers to ‘Enter the Punisher Multiverse’ as the two fire off at the range.

Earlier this year, Jon Bernthal was confirmed to reprise his role as The Punisher alongside Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin in the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series for Disney Plus. While many fans were ecstatic about the announcement, it came with the bitter news that Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson likely won’t be returning in their respective roles as Karen Page and Foggy Nelson. With the role of Vanessa Fisk being recast, it’s unclear who else from the Netflix Defenders Saga will return to the MCU.
What to expect from the new Daredevil series
Little is known of Daredevil: Born Again, with plot details being kept under wraps. Jon Bernthal, Sandrine Holt, Margarita Levieva, Michael Gandolfini, Nikki M. James and Michael Gaston are set to appear in the series opposite Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio. Matt Corman and Chris Ord are writing and executive producing for Marvel.
Unfortunately for fans of Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson and Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page, it has been confirmed that neither character will be returning for Daredevil: Born Again. The news has been met with disappointment from fans, as both characters played significant roles in the original Netflix series. However, it’s important to remember that the series is still in its early stages, and there’s always a chance that the characters could make a surprise appearance in future seasons.
