Vin Diesel has high hopes for his upcoming film, Bloodshot and seems to think that the film will lead to a Valiant cinematic universe.

Vin Diesel’s upcoming comic book film releases later this week and he has a lot of hopes for the film. When production for Bloodshot went underway, the idea was that the film would be the start of a larger cinematic universe featuring the characters from Valiant Comics. The rights to certain characters moving to other studios and questions over the film’s quality and potential box office performance may have put these plans into question, but star Vin Diesel remains optimistic.

While speaking to Fanatic Association, Vin Diesel said that he thinks that Bloodshot will open the door for additional Valiant Comic adaptations which will eventually lead to its own cinematic universe:

“I think what this movie does is that it opens the door for all of them. I think you’re going to see all of them. I think if you’re a fan of Valiant Comics, then you are going to be delighted to hear — and I think they’re going to wait until the movie comes out — but they’re going to start putting out into the press all of the Valiant comic books that are going into the cinematic universe. It’s going to be very exciting.”
