Kingpin actor Vincent D’Onofrio shared a lovely message with Marvel fans ahead of the character’s return in Hawkeye.

There are NO spoilers for the season finale of Hawkeye below.

The fifth episode of Hawkeye ended with a huge twist that sent waves of excitement through the Marvel fandom. As the penultimate episode comes to a wrap, Yelena Belova reveals to Kate Bishop that her mother, Eleanor, alongside Kingpin, have hired the Black Widow assassin to take out Hawkeye. Yikes.

Vincent D’Onofrio first appeared as Kingpin in Netflix’s Daredevil series, which got strategically canceled once Marvel Studios began to work on shows set to hit Disney Plus. Despite the show getting canned, fans still wanted the characters from the series to appear in other Marvel projects, and the brass clearly listened.

The season finale of Hawkeye, which debuted today, features the long-awaited return of Vincent D’Onofrio’s nefarious Kingpin. Now that the star has finally been folded into the Marvel Cinematic Universe proper, he has shared a message that should reach all Marvel fans far and wide.

And just a reminder, The Kingpin’s message doesn’t have any spoilers for the season finale of Hawkeye.

“Hello everybody, welcome to the season finale of Hawkeye. This is such a great show. A lot of effort was put into it by Marvel, by the film crews, the producers, the writers, and all the actors, so I hope you enjoy it. And thank you for being so patient waiting all this time for my character. I so appreciate the warm welcome. So enjoy yourself and merry Christmas.”

Here is the synopsis for Hawkeye:

Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner, Hailee Steinfeld, Tony Dalton, Fra Free, Brian d’Arcy James, Aleks Paunovic, Piotr Adamczyk, Linda Cardellini, Simon Callow, Vera Farmiga, and Alaqua Cox. Florence Pugh also returned in her Black Widow role.
