Is Vision taking after his father? The character’s Disney Plus series is set to feature the return of a surprising actor from the Iron Man franchise.
Ever since Agatha All Along took Disney Plus by storm, fans have been on the edge of their seat awaiting news on the next series in the Wandavision saga: Vision! Details about the project have been rather sparse, though rumors suggest that the project is set to retool a scrapped storyline from the Iron Man spin-off film Armor Wars.
The most recent casting only adds more fuel to that fire. A report by Variety confirms that Iron Man star Faran Tahir will make his return to the MCU in the Vision series. For those who don’t recall, Tahir played Raza Hamidmi al-Wazar, a commander of the Ten Rings who kidnapped Tony Stark for Obadiah Stane and sold the original Mark I armor to the industrialists following Stark’s escape.
How Iron Man Will Play Into The Vision Series
This may seem odd to fans who recently watched Iron Man given Faran Tahir’s Raza was very clearly murdered by Obadiah Stane. However, this only supports the idea that the Vision series will have strong ties to Tony Stark and his armors, as Raza would likely appear in a never-before-seen flashback dating back to the earliest days of the MCU.
To throw everything at the wall, Farah Tahir’s character also shares his name with Raza Longknife, a space pirate with cybernetic enhancements covering his body. Perhaps in bringing back the Iron Man villain for the modern age of the MCU, the Vision series has decided to make him more machine than man in an attempt to explore what separates the two on Disney Plus.
Vision is set to land on Disney Plus in 2026. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Vision and the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
