‘Voltron: Legendary Defender’ Season 2 Clip Features Underwater Battle

The first season of Voltron: Legendary Defender, a reboot of the 1980s animated series Voltron: Defender of the Universe, concluded with the Lions falling into a wormhole and being separated into different corners of the universe. Now, ahead of tomorrow’s season two debut, Netflix has released a new clip through IGN featuring two of our heroes going to face-to-face with an underwater sea monster.

The clip features Paladins Hunk and Lance facing off against the Baku Sea Dragon in a sequence where one of the characters makes a surprising discovery about their Lion.

Working to bring the lions back together to form Voltron again, the Paladins’ plan to defeat the Galra once and for all takes them across the universe in search of new worlds and unexpected allies. Find out if their plot to take down Zarkon succeeds when Season 2 of DreamWorks Voltron Legendary Defender premieres on Netflix January 20, 2017.

The series features the voice talent of Josh Keaton as Shiro, Tyler Labine as Hunk, Jeremy Shada as Lance, Bex Taylor-Klaus as Pidge, Steven Yeun as Keith, Kimberly Brooks as Princess Allura and Rhys Darby as Coran.

Voltron: Legendary Defender season two premieres on Netflix on January 20th, 2017.
