Letitia Wright becomes the Black Panther in the latest Wakanda Forever poster.

Now that Wakanda Forever has been in theaters for two weekends, Marvel has officially unmasked the new Black Panther on its social media pages. A new poster for the movie shows Letitia Wright’s Shuri suited up as the Black Panther, following in the footsteps of her brother T’Challa, played by the late Chadwick Boseman. Check out the poster below.

Letitia Wright made her debut as Shuri in the first Black Panther movie before reprising the role for Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. The Black Panther sequel sees Shuri recreating the heart-shaped herb to become the protector of Wakanda, which is facing the threat of Namor (played by Marvel Cinematic Universe newcomer Tenoch Huerta) and the Talocans.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever recently crossed the $500 million mark worldwide and is expected to continue dominating the box office until the debut of Avatar: The Way of Water in December. The film also stars Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Martin Freeman and Angela Bassett.

The storyline of the Black Panther sequel

Disney’s official synopsis for the film reads as follows: “In Marvel Studios’ ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,’ Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda.”

Directed by Ryan Coogler from a script he co-wrote with Joe Robert Cole, Wakanda Forever stars Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Tenoch Huerta, Martin Freeman and Angela Bassett.
