The second trailer for James Cameron’s upcoming sequel, Avatar: The Way of Water just dropped during Good Morning America.
Avatar: The Way of Water had its first official teaser debut back in May in front of Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The footage teased some of the visceral imagery in audience’s return to Pandora for the first time in 13 years, and also showcased what James Cameron has been up to since then.
Pandora is as beautiful as ever
The latest trailer for James Cameron’s long-awaited sequel has been released, following a special premiere on the ABC show Good Morning America. You can check it out below, along with an official poster for the movie.
As reported earlier this week, The Way of Water has a running time of about 3 hours and its 10 minutes, making it 28 minutes longer than the original Avatar movie, which was released in 2009. The reported runtime also makes it James Cameron’s second longest movie to date, behind 1997’s Titanic.

Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, “Avatar: The Way of Water” begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure.
Directed by James Cameron from a script he co-wrote with Josh Friedman, the seuqel stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, Giovanni Ribisi, and Kate Winslet.
