‘WandaVision’ Advert Teases Scarlet Witch Made A Deal With The Devil

Did Wanda make a deal with Mephisto?

WandaVision Mephisto Scarlet Witch

WandaVision episode six seemingly teased that Scarlet Witch made a deal with the devil after Avengers: Endgame!

Warning! Spoilers ahead for WandaVision episode six!

Every episode of WandaVision so far has seen some bizarre commercials become part of the broadcast streaming out of the Hex, but the latest eerie advert seems to suggest that Scarlet Witch has made a deal with Marvel’s devil, Mephisto. The ‘Yo-Magic’ claymation advertisement saw a young boy trapped on a desert island who makes a bargain with a shark to get something to eat – but he can’t open the yoghurt tub and withers away and dies. Bleak stuff. But what does it have to do with Mephisto and Scarlet Witch?

It plants the idea of a devilish agreement from a figure who swoops in just at the right moment, giving someone exactly what they want – but not exactly as they intended. Sure, this might be a bit of a reach – but the shark in the commercial does tell the boy he’s being kept alive by ‘your magic’. Coincidence? The implication here is that Scarlet Witch, in her grief, desperately wanted to resurrect Vision as well as giving the pair a ‘normal’ life – and someone in the Marvel universe granted her that wish, but not in an ideal way. Deals with the devil never quite play out with a happy ending after all.

What do you make of the WandaVision theory? Has Scarlet Witch made a deal with Mephisto or even someone like Nightmare? Sound-off in the comments below!

Read the official synopsis for WandaVision below.

Marvel Studios’ “WandaVision” blends the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany)—two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

Matt Shakman directed the series with Jac Schaeffer as the lead scribe; WandaVision will star Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, and Kathryn Hahn in an undisclosed role. The President of Marvel Studios has said that the series leads into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

WandaVision premieres on Disney Plus every Friday. Keep following along to stay up to date on all of the latest news surrounding Scarlet Witch, Mephisto and the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s future, and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
