‘WandaVision’ Set Photos Give Us Our First Look At Adult Monica Rambeau

New set photos from Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ series WandaVision gives fans their first look at adult Monica Rambeau.

One of the most exciting announcements for this highly-anticipated new series was the inclusion of Teyonah Parris as the adult version of Monica Rambeau, who was portrayed by Akira Akbar in Captain Marvel, which was set in 1995. Now, Just Jared has a collection of new WandaVision set photos give us our first look at Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau.

The character Monica Rambeau was created by comics writer Roger Stern and artist John Romita Jr. Monica Rambeau made her debut in The Amazing Spider-Man Annual #16 in October 1982. Monica Rambeau was introduced as the second Captain Marvel and possesses similar powers. It is unknown if Teyonah Parris’ take on Monica Rambeau will showcase special abilities in WandaVision.

WandaVision centers on Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch after the events of Avengers: Endgame and is believed to follow the character after she creates an idyllic world in which Paul Bettany’s Vision is still alive. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige also confirmed WandaVision will lead directly into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which will see Elizabeth Olsen reprise her role as Scarlet Witch. The first half of the series is set to take cues from multiple sitcoms over the decades, while the second half is said to be a Marvel blockbuster.

WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, and Kathryn Hahn as a nosy neighbor.

WandaVision is scheduled to premiere on Disney Plus in the Spring of 2021.
