First ‘War For The Planet Of The Apes’ Trailer Officially Classified

The first trailer for Matt Reeves' War for the Planet of the Apes has been officially classified, meaning that it will be arriving very soon.

We’ve been waiting for the first War for the Planet of the Apes trailer since it was shown at New York Comic-Con back in October, but it looks like it will be arriving very soon.

While we don’t have the exact release date just yet , TrailerTrack has revealed that Germany’s FSK has officially classified a 91-second trailer for the Matt Reeves-directed movie. There’s a good chance that the sneak peek could be attached to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which arrives in theaters next week, though that remains to be seen.

Here’s the official synopsis:

In War for the Planet of the Apes, the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise, Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.

The film stars Andy Serkis, Woody Harrelson, Steve Zahn, Judy Greer, Karin Konoval, Amiah Miller, Terry Notary and Gabriel Chavarria.

War for the Planet of the Apes hits theaters on July 14, 2017.
