Warner Bros Discovery CEO David Zaslav has assured employees that the company is not for sale.

In April of this year, the merger between Warner Bros and Discovery, Inc officially went through, and both companies became Warner Bros Discovery. Soon after, David Zaslav was put in charge as the company’s CEO. His tenure as the company’s leader, however, has been riddled with controversy.

The controversy surrounding Warner Bros Discovery started with the cancelation of the HBO Max Batgirl film. Later on, the company removed dozens of shows and original films from HBO Max for tax write-off purposes. This, in turn, has caused the company’s stock prices to plummet, with shares currently priced at around $12. This has made many speculate that David Zaslav’s ultimate goal is to sell the company to another media conglomerate with Comcast being a likely candidate. The CEO however, is assuring people that this is not the case.

The CEO Assures The Staff

During a company-wide meeting, David Zaslav spoke to the staff of Warner Bros Discovery through Zoom. During this meeting, he assured the 40,000-plus staff that the company was not for sale. He also assured employees that the company had everything it needed to succeed:

“We are not for sale. We have everything we need to be successful.”

Here is the synopsis for Warner Bros Discovery’s next major film, Black Adam:

“Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods—and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.”

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra from a script written by Adam Sztykiel and Rory Haines & Sohrab Noshirvani, the DCEU film stars Dwayne Johnson, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Quintessa Swindell, Bodhi Sabongui, and Pierce Brosnan.

Black Adam opens in theaters on October 21, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on Warner Bros Discovery and what direction David Zaslav leads it and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
