Warner Bros. Discovery Eyeing Another Candidate For DC’s ‘Kevin Feige’ Position

The search continues...

DC Warner Bros Walter Hamada

Dan Lin isn’t the only producer Warner Bros. Discovery is looking at for their Kevin Feige position at DC.

There’s a lot of uncertainty with DC at the moment as Warner Bros. Discovery continues its search for what new CEO David Zaslav has described as their “Kevin Feige.” Dan Lin emerged as a favorite to take on the position last week, but no deal has been offered yet. Since nothing is official, there are other names being thrown out there.

According to Variety, Emma Watts is another executive Warner Bros. Discovery is considering for the DC position. Watts has previously held positions at Paramount and 20th Century Fox and has been attached to projects such as James Cameron’s Avatar and I, Robot. Amy Pascal, Matt Tolmach, Sean Bailey, and Greg Berlanti have also been rumored for the role.

The Dawn of DC Studios

It’s unclear what direction DC will head in next, but David Zaslav has made it clear that he wants to emulate Marvel Studios’ success and develop a ten-year plan. DC is also expected to become a separate studio in the vein of Marvel Studios under Disney.

Here is the synopsis for DC’s next film, Black Adam:

Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods—and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra from a script written by Adam Sztykiel and Rory Haines & Sohrab Noshirvani, the DCEU film stars Dwayne Johnson, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Quintessa Swindell, Bodhi Sabongui, and Pierce Brosnan.

Black Adam opens in theaters on October 21, 2022. Be sure to continue following Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news regarding the future of DC at Warner Bros. Discovery, and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more original video content.
