‘Superman & Lois’ Adds Wolé Parks As The Stranger

Wolé Parks has reportedly joined The CW’s upcoming Superman & Lois series as a character named The Stranger.

It was announced back in October that a new Superman television series was being developed for The CW, centering on Tyler Hoechlin’s Man of Steel and Elizabeth Tulloch’s Lois Lane. Superman & Lois is the latest television series to spawn out of the Arrowverse and was recently ordered straight to series with 13-episodes planned.

The Superman & Lois pilot was being filmed before production was shut-down due to COVID-19. However, this hasn’t stopped the series from adding to its cast of characters for when production on the first season resumes. Deadline is now reporting that Wolé Parks has joined the upcoming series as a character called The Stranger. The character is described as, “a mysterious visitor hellbent on proving to the world that it no longer needs Superman.” The Stranger appears to be an original character for the series, but Parks could end up being a more familiar villain from DC Comics. Parks is perhaps best known for his roles in All American, Yellowstone, and The Vampire Diaries, and Premium Rush.

Full details on The CW‘s Superman & Lois being kept under wraps, but the series is described as revolving “around the world’s most famous superhero and comics’ most famous journalist [as they] deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.” In addition to Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent and Elizabeth Tulloch as Lane, the series stars Jordan Elsass and Alexander Garfin as their sons, Dylan Walsh as General Sam Lane, Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang, and Erik Valdez as Kyle Cushing. Written by The Flash showrunner Todd Helbing, Superman & Lois will be executive produced by Helbing, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Geoff Johns.
