Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman may have just revealed the title of Deadpool 3.
Hugh Jackman is set to reprise his role as Wolverine for Deadpool 3, which also features his close friend and long-time internet rival Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with the Mouth. This morning, Jackman took to his official Twitter page to share a video which seemingly features the title of their first on-screen collaboration for Marvel.
In the video, Hugh Jackman refers to Deadpool 3 as Wolverine and Deadpool. Ryan Reynolds was quick to respond to the video, questioning the title in a joking manner. Marvel has yet to announce anything about Deadpool 3 besides its release date, but the “Wolverine and Deadpool” name-drops by both actors were enough to convince fans that they just confirmed the movie’s title.
The first two Deadpool movies were produced by 20th Century Fox before the studio’s acquisition by The Walt Disney Company. Deadpool 3 is being written as the first movie in the series set within the Marvle Cinematic Universe.
Who else is attached to the Deadpool threequel?
Shawn Levy is directing Deadpool 3 after working with Ryan Reynolds on Free Guy and The Adam Project. The upcoming Marvel Studios project also marks a reunion between Levy and Hugh Jackman as the two worked together on Real Steel.
Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are developing the Deadpool 3 script after penning the first two installments in the series. The Molyneux sisters worked on a previous draft of the project.
