Is Spider-Man swinging in to Wonder Man? It’s now been confirmed that a familiar face will appear in the upcoming Disney Plus series.
Much like Los Angeles, Wonder Man is set to be an eclectic collection of characters from all across the MCU. Perhaps the most obvious example of this is Trevor Slattery, who appeared in both Iron Man 3 and Shang-Chi. However, it seems as though the series will also be slinging on a familiar face from the east coast with a character from Spider-Man.
A recent issue of Disney’s D23 magazine (via The Direct) has confirmed that Department of Damage Control agent P. Cleary is set to make his return in the Wonder Man series. Cleary, played by Arian Moayed, previously appeared in both Spider-Man: No Way Home and Ms. Marvel, making him quite the recurring player in the MCU.
Why Is Agent Cleary In Wonder Man?
The magazine goes on to describe why Agent Cleary will be making his return in the Wonder Man series when he was previously stationed on the opposite coast. It seems the Department of Damage Control agent was reassigned to the west coast, with the article also confirming that he’s there on some sort of official mission.
“He has been reassigned to Los Angeles. There’s fun in the way he interacts with Trevor and Simon, but he also has a job to do as a member of the DODC.”
This suggests that something will happen in Wonder Man that catches the Department of Damage Control’s interest. Given their role in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it’s more likely than not that Simon Williams causes some form of mass spread damage due to his powers. From there, it makes sense as to why Agent Cleary is investigating to figure out who caused the wreckage.
