The Grim Reaper is finally making his debut in the MCU! The latest teaser for Wonder Man shows Demetrius Grosse in the flesh as Eric Williams.
As last year came to a close, promotion for Wonder Man really began to ramp up. The series has quickly become one of the most marketed MCU series to date. Despite this, one character has been oddly absent from advertisements: Eric Williams. Played by Demetrius Grosse, the character played a key role in Simon Williams’ story as both his brother and the villain known as The Grim Reaper.
Fans finally have their first look at Eric Willaims in the most recent teaser for Wonder Man. While the character doesn’t seem to be donning his costume as The Grim Reaper of the MCU (yet), the footage does show him as at odds with his brother. Even though only a brief shot of Demetrius Grosse is seen, his voice is omnipresent in the teaser questioning Simon Williams’ dedication and mental state.

Demetrius Grosse’s Role In Wonder Man
The core line of the teaser focuses on how Eric Williams doesn’t believe Simon Williams has any interest in helping his family. A lot of the promotion so far for Wonder Man paints the titular hero as an underdog chasing his dreams. It seems Demetrius Grosse will serve as The Grim Reaper to those hopes, serving as the counter-balance to argue that chasing one’s dreams is foolish and ends up hurting those around you.
Given how little fans have seen of Demetrius Grosse, it’s also possible that his role evolves throughout Wonder Man. It’s almost certain that Simon Williams will find some sort of false victory in the series, proving Eric Williams wrong. It’s possible that this could tip him over the edge, breaking his mind and fully transforming him into the MCU’s version of The Grim Reaper
