Fans have had a lot of questions about Wonder Man ever since the first trailer for the project dropped. The series is set to change the character drastically for the MCU, focusing on a version of Simon Williams that is an actor trying to land a role in the remake of a Wonder Man movie.
This has led many to question if Simon Williams will even have powers in the MCU. While there were some brief glimpses of super strength in the first trailer, there was always a question in people’s minds regarding whether or not they were effects in-universe. Yet the latest footage revealed for Wonder Man seemingly answers this question.
Does Wonder Man Have Powers In The MCU?
While the trailer does reuse a lot of footage, fans do get a new scene of Simon Williams out for dinner with Trevor Slattery, who also played a fake character in the MCU in the form of the Mandarin. During the scene, Simon seemingly causes a glass of water to rapidly shake on its own, all but confirming he’ll have powers outside of the filming of the Wonder Man reboot.
It’ll be interesting to see how the series adapts Simon Williams for the MCU, especially given how different the character is from his comic counter part. A more fully fleshed out trailer for Wonder Man will likely drop in mid-December, serving as one final push to promote the series before the holiday season draws to a close.
