This comes after the actor announced his return to acting after an eight-year retirement, suggesting that Marvel hopes to snap him up for the MCU before he makes any other major commitments.

Of course, Daniel Day-Lewis isn’t the only actor at the center of a rumor about the X-Men. There’s been a lot of speculation in recent weeks that Marvel would want both Magneto and Professor X to be black in the upcoming reboot.
