Sophie Turner’s X-Men film Dark Phoenix will hit HBO Now this weekend.
Last year, fans finally got to see, Dark Phoenix, the final installment in the long-running core X-Men franchise. The X-Men franchise began back in 2000 and eventually rebooted itself in 2011 with First Class, which introduced us to younger iterations of our favorite mutants. As the franchise continued, we got more mutants to expand the populous world, with Sophie Turner joining the coveted superhero team as Jean Grey in X-Men: Apocalypse.
Sophie Turner’s Jean Grey finally got the spotlight in last year’s Dark Phoenix, which, as you can probably tell by the title, focused on the iconic X-Men Dark Phoenix Saga. At the time of its release, Sophie Turner’s Dark Phoenix was met with mixed reception but was considered by many to be a decent goodbye to Fox’s X-Men franchise. Now, with everyone bundled up at home in quarantine, now is the perfect time to catch the Sophie Turner film.
Dark Phoenix will begin streaming on HBO NOW this Saturday, March 21st a statement from HBO says. The X-Men film only grossed $252 million, which means tons of fans skipped out on it. By virtue of cinemas being closed and streaming being the dominant way to view movies at this current junction, do check Dark Phoenix out on HBO NOW to see the final X-Men film starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Sophie Turner.
At the time of its release, we all believed that Dark Phoenix would be the last X-Men film from Fox as The New Mutants was seemingly shelved. Since then, Disney announced that The New Mutants would be releasing in April, making it the final film in Fox’s X-Men franchise. Of course, the film has been put on hold indefinitely due to coronavirus outbreak. For now, fans will have to get their X-Men fix with Dark Phoenix on HBO NOW.

Here is the official synopsis for Sophie Turner’s Dark Phoenix:
This is the story of one of the X-Men’s most beloved characters, Jean Grey, as she evolves into the iconic DARK PHOENIX. The film is the most intense and emotional X-Men movie ever made.
