It seems Hugh Jackman isn’t the only X-Men star joining the MCU! One of the franchise’s most iconic villains celebrates his return in Deadpool and Wolverine with a new BTS photo.
Rumors have been flowing for months about former X-Men actors making their MCU debut in Deadpool and Wolverine. While there’s been a lot of smoke, there hasn’t been a lot of fire outside of Hugh Jackman returning as the titular Canucklehead. It seems Aaron Stanford is the one to finally bring the fire, sharing a new BTS photo of his return as Pyro in the film!
Aaron Stanford’s Pyro often gets lost in the cavalcade of characters present in the old X-Men films. However, for those who do remember him, his return alongside Hugh Jackman in Deadpool and Wolverine will serve as a sweet treat. This BTS photo is also likely a canary in the coal mine that the film will serve as a reunion for all the former mutants as they’re merged into the MCU. At this rate, it’s certain the next trailer will be insane!

Shawn Levy is directing Deadpool and Wolverine after working with Ryan Reynolds on Free Guy and The Adam Project. The upcoming Marvel Studios project also marks a reunion between Levy and Hugh Jackman as the two worked together on Real Steel.
Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are developing the Deadpool and Wolverine script after penning the first two installments in the series. The Molyneux sisters worked on a previous draft of the project.
