‘X-Men’ Concept Art Reveals Unused Design For Oscar Isaac’s Apocalypse

Concept artist Jerad S. Marantz revealed an unused design for Oscar Isaac’s Apocalypse in the X-Men film series.

20th Century Studios’ X-Men: Apocalypse finally introduced the powerful titular villain to the film series with Oscar Isaac in the role. However, most fans were less-than-pleased with the design of Oscar Isaac’s Apocalypse, which many say barely resembles the version of the character from the comic books.

Now, concept artist Jerad S. Marantz has taken to his official Instagram account to share an unused concept illustration for Oscar Isaac’s Apocalypse that is considerably more comic-accurate. In the caption included with the post, Marantz noted that this is one of his favorite unused designs for Apocalypse and that working on the X-Men character was exciting.
