A new Blue Beetle set photo offers the best look yet at Xolo Maridueña in costume as the DCEU hero.

The new image was shared by Maridueña’s co-star Bruna Marquezine and shows DC’s newest big-screen hero unmasked and getting ready to do some wire work.

With no official promotional materials for Blue Beetle released as of yet, set photos such as this have given fans their only glimpses of Blue Beetle’s live-action look. The film will mark the first time the lesser-known DC hero is adapted for a live-action appearance on the big screen.

Bruna Marquezine, who plays Penny in Blue Beetle, shared an image of herself with Xolo Maridueña on the DC movie’s set on her Instagram Story.

The image shows Xolo Maridueña in his full Blue Beetle suit, minus the mask, while connected to a wire rig. While the suit looks like it will require some CGI touch-ups in post-production, the new set photo does reveal the armored, semi-organic look of the costume.

While the image was only temporarily available on Marquezine’s Instagram, it has now been shared on Reddit as well. Take a look at the new Blue Beetle set photo below:
