Zachary Levi has confirmed the recent reports claiming that Dwayne Johnson shut down a Shazam cameo in Black Adam.
TheWrap recently revealed that Dwayne Johnson vetoed a Shazam cameo appearance in the Black Adam movie. The proposed scene would have seen Hawkman and the rest of the Justice Society of America recruiting Shazam.
Taking to his Instagram stories, Zachary Levi confirmed that Shazam was almost in Black Adam. Levi shared a screenshot of the original report from the trade, writing “The truth shall set you free.”
Shazam! Fury of the Gods, The Flash, Blue Beetle and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom are also currently in various stages of post-production at Warner Bros. Discovery, with all four DC Universe movies set to hit theaters this year. Will the characters from those movies make appearances in the new DC Universe? Only newly-named DC Studios heads James Gunn and Peter Safran Safran know.
